THERAPEUTIC BATHING

65% of body cleansing is through the skin. The water must be very hot and you must stay in the water until it cools in order to receive the full effect of the detoxification. As the water cools, it draws the toxins off the skin and into the water. Do not do this if you are pregnant.

General Points to keep in mind:

  1. Therapeutic bathing is most effective before bedtime as the body detoxifies during sleep
  2. Use only one bathing formula per evening
  3. Do not mix different ingredients from different formulas
  4. The baths can be continued without harm until relief from the symptoms occurs
  5. If redness, dryness or roughness of the skin develops, this is normal detoxing. This is common. If uncomfortable, dab a little olive oil or almond oil or a non-petroleum based baby lotion on the skin after bathing.
  6. IF you feel you have need for all of the baths, alternate them on different evenings.
  7. Use common sense and cut back on the baths if too unpleasant
  8. If you have dental or medical x-rays, take the therapeutic bath immediately afterwards if possible.

Formula 1

When to do it: After exposure of Environmental Radiation, X-rays, Air Travel.

Indications: general muscle aches, mild nausea, more fatigue than usual, headaches, slight dizziness, jet lag, balance disturbance

How to do it: Dissolve 1 pound of sea salt or rock salt and 1 pound of baking soda in a tub of water as hot as can be tolerated. Stay in the bath until the water has cooled. Also mix ½ teaspoon of rock salt and ½ teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water and sip this during the bath. Do not shower for at least 4 hours after the bath.

Formula 2

When to Do It: Heavy metal exposure such as aluminum, or carbon monoxide or unburned carbons, pesticide sprays or deterrents. If you have cooked with aluminum cookware you will accumulate it in the body. Frequent commuters absorb carbon monoxide through the skin. Eating foods that have not been cleansed of pesticides causes accumulation of pesticides in the cells.

Indications: Feeling out of sorts, decreased energy, upper respiratory discomfort, a shortness of breath, light-headedness, or impaired balance.

How to Do It: Add 1 cup of regular-brand Clorox bleach (with the white and blue label, no thickeners, no scents or additives. This is very hard to find. It is the original. I can only find it on Amazon unfortunately) to a tub of water as hot as can be tolerated. Stay in bath until the water has cooled. Do not shower for at least 4 hours after the bath. Do not use more bleach than recommended as this is a powerful oxygenator.

Formula 3

When to Do It: If you have been exposed to low-grade radioactive materials in the atmosphere or food irradiated by cobalt 60. In supermarkets (or in health food stores, for that matter) we usually are not told which foods are and which are not irradiated with deadly cobalt 60. Assume it’s residues are in a wide range of foods from fresh fruits and vegetables to grains and packaged meats.

Indications: A soreness of gums, mouth , or throat, swollen glands, indigestion, or an inability to retain food comfortably in the stomach.

How To Do It: Dissolve 2 pounds of baking soda in a tub of water as hot as can be tolerated. Stay in the bath until the water has cooled. Mix ½ teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water and sip on this during the bath. Do not shower for at least four hours following the bath.

Formula 4

When to Do It: This is a general detoxifier. It raises the acid level in the body to help build immunity and ward off a feeling that you are about to be ill.

Indications: General muscle aches and pains, fatigue brought about by physical exertion, or mental or emotional stress, symptoms usually associated with the start of a cold or flu.

How to Do It: Add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar (pure, not the ‘flavored’ variety to a tub of hot water as hot as can be tolerated. Stay in the bath until the water has cooled. Mix one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into a glass of warm water and sip on this during the bath. Do not shower for at least 4 hours following the bath.
